“Embattled” farmers met at Concord Bridge to confront British regulars who had marched from Boston in the dark of night, in order to seize their firearms. There, they fired “The Shot Heard Round the World”. Patriots in Concord, New York will fire a symbolic shot at twelve noon, January 11th, 2014, to protest the 1st anniversary of the NYS “Safe Act” passed in the dark of night. This will be followed by other patriots throughout New York State firing their symbolic shots. All patriots will fire in a legal, safe manner.

I was expecting something less symbolic when I read the thread title.

That's not how the original patriots did it...

All the symbolism in the world will not get the tyrant's attention unless that symbol is backed by righteous force and steadfast will. Until we really are willing to pledge our lives, fortunes and sacred honor to Liberty, we're just pissing into the wind.

I made that pledge quite some time ago - I have two grandchildren and I'd rather 'go first' than try to explain to them what Liberty was, why we lost it and why I didn't do everything in my power to keep them free.

So far, I guess our keepers have not found me important enough to try to arrest me for exercising my Liberty, despite the fact that I only recognize as law statutes that protect another person's rights. We all commit our 'three felonies a day', even when we try to comply with Leviathan's myriad statutes and regulations. It is much more satisfying and easier to follow a true moral compass than to worry about that government bullshit. The government's idea of 'law' long ago ceased to have any correlation with morality or justice.
