Cartel?
Looks more like citizen militia. There have been many efforts by the people to fight back against the cartel. I have a link to a photo story somewhere...
Ah, here we go.

Notice the yellow tape on their vests...looks like the dude above is sporting the same thing. And the first photo in this link shows a dude in a mask. Not a bad idea to mask your identity when you're planning on fighting the cartel...

Good for them. Their only chance is to police themselves. Problem is I think some of the past vigilante groups joined cartels. SO much money is involved...

I watched a really good documentary about the Mormons fight against the cartels down there.
Must be Photoshopped. Guns are illegal in Mexico..

This is what the mag ban gives us; ugly solutions.

Interesting piece, but I wish the Vice guy would have quit trying to get the people in MX to implicate themselves in illegal gun possession. I guess that's what you get with a Canadian that lives in Brooklyn NY...

I've watched a lot of Vice videos and have learned to deal with it. Pretty interesting to see a group rise up independent of the government to create order. There's a lot of that going on in Mexico.
So, assuming each of those magazines was restricted properly to only hold 15rounds, does duct taping them together like that result in a "high capacity" magazine? LOL. That article about the "star" pictured above seems to suggest they're targeting ban states.

I've wondered about that with regard to the 10/22 tri-mag couplers as well....if it's all connected...?
The other day we were shooting some G36's and I clipped 6 of the mags together and stuck them in a gun. Laughs were had, wish I would have had a picture.
