Ok, the premiss of the thread is to honestly answer the question only if you truly know it and not use any references ie. Google, dictionaries, books...etc.

I'll start;

What at is the small dot above the i called?

What 2 letter words are (2 of them) are measurements of type setting. They are also great space fillers when playing Scrabble.

speedysst

Its not a question of where he grips it. It's a simple question of weight ratios. A five ounce bird cannot carry a one pound coconut! (see what Ive started!)

Wow, a thread inspired by a pawn stars episode sure got derailed fast. Buttons is the same reason chick buttons are on the other side - meant to be done up (or down) by someone else.

How many pennies are there to the pound?

The question was deliberately ambiguous.

Classic answer: 120 pennies to the pound sterling pre-decimal (value).
Current (UK) answer: 100 pennies to the pound sterling post decimal (value). (decimal currency)
Bohr answer: 183 pennies (at 2.5g post-1982 mass) to the US standard pound (weight)

What animal can hold a fertilized egg inside its body for up to three years before it attaches to the uterine lining and begins the pregnancy?

Not sure if kangas can go three years, but they are a species able to hold a fertilized embryo back for a long time before attaching and birthing it. Kudos on the grooves answers - both correct (for single or double sided). Stereo records don't have extra grooves, just a side-differentiated single groove per side.

I've got a Monty Python album that has two grooves on one side, with two sets of content on that side. Freaky if you're not expecting it.
