Reminds me of all the gun owners that have left their guns at the range.

Stuff happens, we should move on. And shouldn't we be happy that she and her husband are gun owners and that the sheriff handled it well?

Amen, a good citizen who found the gun in the car too. It could have turned out bad if it hit the streets.

All's well that ends well and she's hot. Hubby deserves some extra attention after she got his name in the papers for this but good for the citizen who turned it in.

Honest mistake. Glad to see there are still good people out there. I'm surprised the rental company didnt find it.

If people can forget so easy they need to have a check up for dementia, and alzhiemer's.

Yeah, people are awfuly hard on other people these days (especially from the comfort and safety of their keyboards) ... she didn't forget a gun in the car, she forgot one of her bags ... I would suggest that he who has never forgotten anything be the one to cast the first stone here.

I'm surprised the rental company didnt find it.
If I was the manager at the rental agency I'd be chewing on my employees about now ... clearly they're not thoroughly cleaning and/or inspecting the cars after they're being dropped off.

Remind me not to rent from E-Z Rent-A-Car if that's how well they clean a car when they are turned in.

I hope I don't end up in the news for the Kershaw I think I left in a rental car. It is registered to me after all.

Kinda wierd, only had the car for 2 hours? Yet had a cased AR in it, and then forgot it? I'm sure they're not hurting for dough and can afford her own car, why rent one so close to home? And the rifle is "registered"?

The New Yorkers are enrolling in therapy for PTSD as we speak.

She traded For another car. Happens more often than you know.

My lady once was awarded for discovering $50k drug money left in the spare tire of rental car. We just wished it was money award instead of a piece fancy award paper by DPD. She was the operation manager for hertz dollar thrifty rental car.

The gun is often used for hunting and gun range enthusiasts, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

While not entirely correct, at least they didn't say it was used to kill babies. FL FTW.

They obviously read this article, and weren't about to have their own plates get them flagged.
