View Full Version : Daniel Defense M4V5 or Sig M400 PSB? (correct sub forum? )
What would be more fun, fewer issues and generally better to run? I dont think you can go to wrong with either. Figure only looking to work within 200 yards. Optics would be red dot of sorts with optional magnification.
Also- i didnt see a sub forum for complete AR rifles or where to discuss those. If I missed it, please redirect me there. Thanks!

Get a Bushmaster, lost less money and will work just fine within 200 yards. You don't even need a optic in that close.
the guns mentioned have the rails accessories i would want/prefer. bushmaster would be fine, but just a preference thing i guess.

I have a Daniel Defense V2 that is sweet. I can't talk for a Sig M400, but I love my DD. It's my go to gun.
Are you deciding between an AR pistol (M400 PSB) and a mid-length carbine (M4V5)?
DD makes great stuff, I have a DD upper on a PSA lower. It's my favorite AR.
I've really never taken to AR pistols--I don't see the need/use other than having fun at the range. I have heard of people using the PSB as more of a stock, but that is illegal and I would never break the law.

Me either. Not really deciding between the two, have extras for that. just from a fun to own standpoint. the DD would be really nice and would likely relegate a different AR in the safe to the bang around rifle. and the pistol would be light weight and easy/fun to take to the range / mountains for some beer can hunting.

Hmm. So using something in a manner other than that which it was intended is illegal?
Does that mean when I take a large crescent wrench and use it as a hammer I am breaking a law?

In alabama, sodomy (an unnatural sex act) is still a felony. So along those lines yes other than intended is illegal. Sorry honey, looks like i have to pass on your blow job offer.
don't even ask me where this came from???????????????????
I take the tags off my mattress.

I would say but the DD.... I recently made a ar pistol with a sig arm brace and the whole range appeal/fun factor already wore off.
nice. thanks for the input. what type of upper barrel do you have on it? If I were to do a pistol/PSB style I would want it to group decent at 200 yards.
While its not illegal, it is Highly recommended that you NOT tape your tooth brush to a "vibrator" and think its a "vibratory tooth brush"...
I'm just sayin...

That reminds me of that post about the pistol brace thingy that you put against your chin.

Hey man, I don't make the laws. I just follow them.
All the time.
Without exception.
