Forgive me if this has been asked before. My search skills are poor.
A co-worker came in tonight and told me that a local gun shop has told him that they can order a gun that comes with 19 round magazines due to the Sheriff's pending lawsuit. I haven't heard anything other than the laws have passed and we are SOL unless/until they are repealed.
Any thoughts?
Negative. The court denied a motion for a stay pending the outcome of the lawsuit.
Hasn't stop some places from selling mags > than 15.
I've seen a few places that does it openly and has no problem with it. Either that or they break them down into repair kits. Still not legal but I'm not bitching about it.....

Another moron storm.
No, its not legal to sell a > 15 round magazine, even as "kits".
Yep moron storm, somebody else that found something in the law that it does not say "you can't sell kits". The only problem is these morons can only seem to find the part in the law that says you can't assemble a magazine. Nothing about selling magazine parts is illegal in the law. I don't even see the word "kits" anywhere. I refuse to comply with added restrictions to a law that don't exist in that law, it only plays into the hand of the democrats that wish they would have included it in said law.

People ridiculed the idea that New York would prosecute people for putting more than seven rounds in a legal ten round magazine.
But they've done it.

CT has also.
CT has also.
The CT one almost screamed setup though. A willing test case. (he admitted to not registering the mag yet the cop gave it back?)

In the short term this is probably not an issue (especially since most LEO agencies in the state have flatly said they have no intention of enforcing the law). But the longer this law exists on the books, the more it will be enforced.
While civil disobedience and non-compliance with the law are valid tactics to undermine it, the truth is we MUST get rid of this law as soon as possible.
I think we do have to be careful about discussing this here though. We don't want to risk losing this venue of discussion by using it to discuss violating the law. (frankly surprised trot didn't lock this one after posting).

And he didn't even take my seminar on being a dickhead. (Sure, I charge a lot of money for that seminar, but I buy the donuts.)
So other than magpul, which supidly puts its MFR dates on the mag, how would the police be able to enforce this law other than seeing the transaction actually take place?

Admitting to police that you purchased the mag after July 1, 2013.

So jury nullification isn't an option?

It does not seem to dawn on advocates of jury nullification that there are plenty of jurors perfectly willing to enforce bad/unconstitutional laws.

Kinda what I thought. If the sheeple vote for this stuff, then they'll enforce/defend it as well... [facepalm]

Credit card receipts; security camera video ; testimony of the store counter clerk } all provided by the clown show gun shop - when they plea bargain - that was telling people that they can sell magazines because of a non-existent injunction or faux "legal opinion".
