View Full Version : Metal Detectors at All MLB Parks
I heard that MLB is mandating that all of their ball parks must have metal detectors at the gates by 2015. I have purchased a multi-game game package for the last 12 years. I guess that all ends when this season is over (already purchased tickets for 2014). I have always carried at the games, I don't feel that I need to carry in the park but I definitely do for the walk to the car. I told my family members that if anything ever happens to us going to or from a game, I want them to file suit against MLB for taking away my right to protect myself.

It's ok, Chief White says there is no problem in LoDo with random attacks and the Knockout game.
Move along citizen and enjoy the game.
I am waiting for the lawsuit when somebody gets hurt/killed in a Gun Free establishment. If they are going to prevent me from having a means of protecting myself then they are assuming that responsibility/liability right?
That's my assumption. Massive lawsuit waiting to happen. Something happens to me, I'm getting PAID.

Actually no, they aren't. Unless you have no choice in the matter and they disarm you, you made a decision on your own, using your own free will to disarm to enter the establishment. No one forced you to disarm, you could have always chosen not to enter the establishment and therefore remained armed. Therefore you accepted their terms before entering and they cannot be held responsible for anything that happens to you inside.
"I had no choice but to go to the baseball game!" won't hold up in court. :)
O2
Ps. I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Professional athletics is just the circuses to go with your the bread they give you.
Show support with your feet.
Go watch a high school game instead.
My guess is the sheeple will comply and there will be no long term drop in profits.

I have not been to a MLB game since 2005 in Atlanta. Something about $60 tickets, $10 beers and $8 hot dogs just rubs me the wrong way.

Except you can not carry on school property either.

yeah, don't support the NFL, MLB, or any other liberal bullshit organizations... they can do whatever they want, they don't get a dime of my money... never have, never will
