I am constantly astonished by the crap that falls out of my 15yo's mouth. He grew up in FL with his Liberal mother; I just got full custody of him last year. I'm starting the slow process of injecting reason, logic, and traditional values into his mind, but it is a hard row to hoe.

He commented to me a few days ago that the MPAA assigns more restrictive ratings to movies with homosexual kisses vs. heterosexual kisses and he thought that was wrong of them. I told him I agree with that philosophy because perhaps some parents haven't yet had the conversation with their 12yo about abnormal relationships and don't want them exposed to it without context. He wanted to argue with me that homosexual relationships are not "abnormal." I then asked him to tell me what is the one, single requirement for any species to survive beyond one generation. If humans have been around for some 150,000 years, which type of relationship is "normal?" He didn't have an answer, so the argument stopped there, but it was obvious he didn't want to accept my premise.

I don't give a damn what people do in the privacy of their own home if it doesn't affect me. Honestly, there are too many people on this planet anyway, and we could probably just consider homos a form of population control. But I'm getting a little sick of popular culture force feeding my kid idiotic philosophy that boils down to "intolerance is intolerable."

I did my very best to watch this show last night, it freaking killed me to listen to these people go on and on about how great they are. However, I stuck through it because some of my favorites were going to appear. Willie, Merle and Metallica to name a few. But when this in your face, pro leftist pro gay agenda shit show started, I turned it off. What does this shit have to do with music? Never again...

I was watching some of it pretty much up until that shit show started. It's gone FAR beyond equality being the goal, they have gone to the point of if you're not an avid supporter you're somehow a bigoted Neanderthal. If they would just get it through their thick skulls that a libertarian outlook on it vs Liberal/socialist outlook is really the best option and fastest route to their stated goal, they'd get there a lot faster. Problem is that stated goal isn't really the goal. They don't want people to treat them equally, they want govt to force people to support their choices and views and get special privileges. It makes me want to puke. As someone who has a gay family member who just wants to be able to live his life as he chooses without outside interference, I can attest that not all gay people identify with this kind of crap. My step brother would just as soon live his life without a marriage certificate as to be labeled as one of these fuckwits.

Oh yeah, I don't hear voices in my head either but I don't know if that is normal or not.

Today I attended my second Larimer County DA community perspective meeting and we discussed how to deter hit & runs and should illegal dealers selling marijuana on the street be prosecuted now that Colorado has legalized recreational use by Constitutional Amendment. We will meet again in May and discuss pending legislation in the state legislature. Is this normal behavior for a 58 year old man?
