YES! A step in the right direction..

For all you elitist concealed carry folks; please stay out of our town!! [ROFL1][ROFL2]

J/k, I'll still conceal...

EDIT: I just realized this should be in politics. Please move after a few people cry about "Open Carry" Thanks!

Well, that's good to hear, since I tend to OC.

I don't OC myself, but if law abiding citizens want to I'm not gonna complain or freak out about it.

I wasn't able to attend last night's meeting but I went to the prior 2 meetings. I'm glad it finally got repealed.

THIS IS CASTLE ROCK! <insert Spartan voice>

This is not possible. My daughter is learning civics in 5th grade and her teacher told her that the 2nd amendment says you can buy a gun if you're old enough, but only if it's concealed.

Good. If they were visible more often, maybe folks wouldn't be so damned sensitive about an inanimate object.

The few people I've seen OC looked squared away and not flashy at all, mainly I just wanted to give them high-fives.

No way. seriously?

Yes, but all joking aside it sounds like it may have been confusion rather than something else. My daughter was sick the first day the amendments were discussed and it's likely something got lost in translation. Both the school and the teacher(s) are great, and most of the people over there have similar views and values.

It did make for an interesting conversation - can't say I handled it really well when my first response was "Who the heck told you that nonsense?" Good thing my daughter is a smart one.

An armed society is a polite society.

I would not open carry, BUT if for whatever reason i had it on my hip and walked into a gas station, etc i am glad it wont be a hassle. and I do support anyone who wants to open carry- their choice!

Great news. I don't OC either but any pro-gun news is good news. Will be interesting to see how local business respond? (ie: the big outlet mall)

Glad to hear that pro gunners are taking it back! Let's follow their lead and repeal the other bs gun laws on the books.

That's what I have been saying. I don't OC but I agree. 20 years agao we used to OC and have guns in the window of our pickups at school and nobody worried. Now people wig out over a gun in a truck.
