View Full Version : Downtown all dolled up for the game!
You should go down there right after the game and get some pictures. Might look more like Beirut than Denver.

We'll label those pics "before." Let see what they look like "after."

If only they cared as much for their citizens' rights as for their football team.

I had a similar thought.
Does it piss anyone else off that tax payer money is being spent to support a select few millionaires and a meaningless game?
Jesus you guys have the ability to turn even the most mundane thing into political whining.

Any chance we can find someone on the Broncos team bold enough to speak out on this topic ?
I would have to believe it would help the cause...
...but there is probably a prohibition of some sorts by the NFL.[facepalm]

Sorry, some people aren't as much into bread & circuses.

I think we would find that most of them are used to packing illegally.
I think what Ridge means is that this wasn't posted in the political forum, so keep the politics out.
Coming fr a state that has no professional teams I find it nice to see a city supporting the fans and team of a city. Just my .02.
I also don't think the game is meaningless if it brings people together. I go to a local bar to watch games since I have no tv. I've met lots of new people in my neighborhood that I might not have.

Since this type of event happens rarely, whats the big deal? Far more is spent for May 5th and Pride day.

Off topic but I remember when Hawaii went to the Sugar Bowl a few years ago. That must have been rough for a lot of islanders.

Winner.
Let's just say those days I was too busy beating on a drum in the jungle.....oblivious to pretty much everything. ;)

There will be less people than that, if the broncos don't win.

As I looked at those great pics all I could think of was.............
9mm, .40. S&W, or .45ACP........but then again all us Glock owners are far superior and when I get my hands on the R I P 9mm shredding ammo it is all over.......

Couldn't agree more. If Nike and other sponsors supported the troops like they do these thug athletes, then I would start paying attention to them. Not a man on that field today worth what they're making.
