(My favorites are in blue)
Q: How many Denver Broncos does it take to win a Super Bowl?
A: Only one (# 7) and he is retired.
Q: What's the difference between the Denver Broncos and a dollar bill?
A: You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill.
Q: What is the difference between a Broncos fan and a baby?
A: The baby will stop whining after awhile.
Q: What did the Broncos fan say after his team won the Super Bowl?
A: "Mom, why'd you wake me up? I was having an amazing dream!"
Q. How are the Broncos like my neighbors?
A. They can't pick up a single yard!
Q: Want to hear a Broncos joke?
A: Peyton Manning
Q: How many Denver Broncos does it take to change a tire?
A: One, unless it's a blowout, in which case they all show up
Q: What do the Denver Broncos and Billy Graham have in common?
A: They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ" !!!
Q: How do you keep a Denver Bronco out of your yard?
A: Put up goal posts.
Q: What is a Denver Broncos fan's favorite wine (whine)?
A: "We can't beat Seattle."
Q: What does a Denver Broncos fan do when his team has won the Super Bowl?
A: He turns off the PlayStation 3.
Q: What's the difference between the Denver Broncos & the Taliban?
A: The Taliban has a running game!
Q: Why doesn't Boulder have a professional football team?
A: Because then Denver would want one.
On the first day of school a first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Broncos fan.
She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Broncos fans.
Wanting to impress their teacher, everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.
The teacher looks at the girl with surprise, 'Janie, why didn't you raise your hand?'
Because I'm not a Broncos fan,' she replied.
The teacher, still shocked, asked, 'Well, if you are not a Broncos fan, then who are you a fan of?'
'I am a Seahawks fan, and proud of it,' Janie replied.
The teacher could not believe her ears. 'Janie please tell us why you are a Seahawks fan?'
"Because my mom is a Seahawks fan, and my dad is Seahawks fan, so I'm a Seahawks fan too!"
"Well," said the teacher in a obviously annoyed tone, 'that is no reason for you to be a Seahawks fan.
You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time.
What if your mom was an idiot and your dad was a moron, what would you be then?'
"Then," Janie smiled, 'I'd be a Broncos fan.'

Okay ... as a NON-fan of the Broncos, this is one of the things that gripes me about so many Bronco fans. They get cocky and uppity when things are going right -- okay, no problem, that happens with most teams -- but the put-downs on the team as they're admittedly getting spanked hard is pretty weak. Worse though is that Bronco news is still going to dominate coverage in the Denver ComPost Sports section even through basketball and baseball seasons. Same thing happened after the Skins dusted the Broncos in '88. [facepalm]
The Seahawks came in hungry and were tougher on the Broncos than I thought they'd be and the Broncos were sloppier than I thought they'd be (starting with that safety). It almost seemed to me a lot of the Broncos read and believed the DP hype and walked in there thinking the Seahawks were just going to roll down on the ground for them. The Donkeys got killed ... oh well, learn from it and play next year.

If I had to sum things up as to WHY the Broncos looked so bad,
I'd' have to say that " the Denver offensive Linemen didn't give Manning the protection he needed to make things happen."
That could have be due to Denver's offensive linemen being weaker, the Seahawk's defensive linemen being better/quicker, or a combination of both.

On a different note, they all looked stoned, from the initial snap...
Could this be a coincidence?[Shock]
The sun did come up, but it's colder than it should be.
The Seahawks remind me of the 2000 Ravens and the Broncos were no where near ready to play that kind of game. Between the crowd noise and that punishing defence, the Broncos were dazed and confused from the first possession. I kinda suspected a Seahawk win, but nothing like this. Wow!

I definitely wouldn't have been surprised by a Seahawks win but its rare that an NFL team gets dominated like that in every facet of the game.
I'm not going to do what most Broncos fans have done and turn this into a Broncos hate fest. They're still my team and they still made it to the Superbowl. Yes, they lost but there are 30 other teams that would have LOVED to have been in the Superbowl even knowing they were going to lose by that score. Count on it. This stat of how many times a team or a QB has lost a Superbowl is easily the most overhyped and worst stat in all of professional sports. They make it sounds like there are two teams in the NFL who play ONE game and the loser is the source of ridicule. That's just idiotic. There can only be one champion and all others are losers but Denver still made the Superbowl which is an impressive accomplishment.
All that being said.... congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks & their fans. That was an IMPRESSIVE win no matter how you slice it and all the credit in the world goes to the Seahawks. To belittle the Broncos at this point is discrediting what the Seahawks have done and that's just not fair. The Seahawks played the most dominate football game at every aspect that I have ever seen... regular season or otherwise. This is impressive when you take into account they held the most prolific offense in the history of the NFL to only 8 points. Good defenses have a tendency to make good offenses look bad and that's exactly what happened. We just witnessed probably the greatest defensive performance in Superbowl history coupled with a flawless offense and special teams performance. Nothing you can do about that and Seattle gets the credit they deserve from me for playing what amounts to as perfect of a Superbowl as you'll ever see. I'm not a poor sport so I didn't gloat when Denver was winning game after game in a big way and I won't pout or shift blame when they lose either. Good game Seattle and hopefully Denver will use this offseason to get better and come back in the spring to make another run. That's sports and my life doesn't begin & end with them.

Funny you say that because Bob's Burgers is the only of the animation domination shows that I don't watch. Tried to watch it when it first came out because I wanted to like it but it was terrible. I imagine it's got better since it's still on the air but that show wasn't very good.

Maybe it has gotten better, then. The youngest girl, with the rabbit-ear hat, reminds me of my own daughter.
And I don't like how far the Simpsons has gone up its own ass with messages and commentary and politics. Sharks have been jumped, sir, and Matt Groening has indeed jumped them. (He also re-wrote an old Futurama episode, just to take a cheap dig at the Tea Party.)

I agree with what Jer said and while I'm not a Broncos fan, I'd like to offer this glimmer of hope for those of you that are. The 1971 Dolphins got their butts kicked by the Cowboys in the 1972 Super Bowl 24-3 -- and that butt-kicking was what inspired the team to their still-legendary 1972 season. If the Broncos can take that same level of inspiration, you're in for a helluva ride next season.

The team, as constituted, is getting better every year. I'm anxious to see what they can do next year because if they don't win a Superbowl (they're already the odds on favorite in Vegas) it will be the first year they haven't improved so I'm holding hope that they're going to make the necessary adjustments and next year will be the year.

So, might as well ask, what was everyone's favorite commercial?
My picks:
1. Sentimental - Budweiser - A Hero's Welcome (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7L5QByvXOQ)
2. Funny - Tim Tebow - No Contract (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTaH-OtUv94)
Honorable mention: MetLife National Anthem (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFUWcM0K-_U)
Doberhuahua - Audi A3

Because it's AMERICA the beautiful and it's to be sung in English. It's like flying the American Flag but instead of the good old red white & blue it's the exact same but in red, white & green for Mexican pride. You want to be American? Speak English. The least you can do is sing her sings in the native tongue.

That IS what Jer is saying. That you're not allowed to say the national anthem unless you speak it in perfect, unnaccented English.

...who came here by legal methods and spoke English because they were grateful for the opportunity they were given that would not have been available in the country they left. Too many today are here illegally and then, for reasons known to me, try to recreate whatever the left here usually at the determent of our own nation/society. Yeah, I have a problem with this. Hyphenated American's will be the decline of this society. You want to be an American? Then be a damn American.

And what difference does that make in what language the song was sang in? Are you required to drop your native language when you become a citizen? How do you know those people were illegal immigrants in that video?

Where did I say the people singing that song were illegal immigrants? You're trying to have two different conversations and are using that to try to catch my in something.
If I felt compelled to move to Mexico for a better life would I be greeted with open arms singing their national anthem in English?
You yourself tied the language they were speaking in as an argument about illegal immigration.

I doubt many Mexicans would get sand in their vag if you were singing their anthem in another language, especially when the tune is clearly apparent to them while you do it.

America the Beautiful is not the national anthem, and I thought the commercial was leftist crap. We are a melting pot of cultures etc. but the vast majority of the country speaks English. I realize it's not the National Anthem but I was trying to make a comparison. If you tell me an analog to America the Beautiful for Mexico I will amend my statement if necessary but the point still remains. I'm tired of acquiescing to foreigners who clearly don't care enough about our country to learn our native language. I spent a couple weeks in Mexico and spoke more Spanish than immigrants I have seen with my own eyes/ears that have lived her decades. You really have to go out of your way to not absorb some of a language of a nation you live in.
Don't you think they care about the country if they care enough to learn the song? Hell, there are plenty of kids born in English speaking households that don't know the words to it.

We thought the ad was offensive to America as a whole. It almost felt like they were condoning not speaking English in America. Basically, leftist trash. It's an American song, with Colorado ties, about America. If they wanted to do it with multiple nationalities, great, as our country is made up of multiple nationalities, but do so in English. It should be encouraged to speak English. I should not have to press 1 for English. That's where all this is coming from, and going. Heck the other day, before we fired our helper, he had a habit of trying to talk to another employee in Mexican. I piped up and shouted, en ingles por favor! They both looked at me with a silly look. Nice breakdown in the WSJ: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304851104579361111580572276.html?m od=WSJ_hppMIDDLENexttoWhatsNewsSecond
Some highlights:
Seattle's strategy focused on containing Denver's vaunted short passing game, exposing the Broncos as a team with surprisingly few tricks in their offensive bag.
The Seahawks gladly let Manning break the Super Bowl record for completions. He connected on 34 of his 49 passes. The hulking Seattle defense held those passes to an average of 8.2 yards per completion, the third-worst mark in Super Bowl history, according to Stats LLC. The plan was simple: Let Manning have his short passes, but make sure they stay short.
The first rule of facing Manning is don't blitz. According to Pro Football Focus, there were 184 instances this season when brave, foolish souls blitzed Manning; he devastated them in response, compiling a quarterback rating above 100 in those situations.
The point of blitzing—that is, sending defenders other than linemen to rush the quarterback—is to get the quarterback uncomfortable, gambling that he won't be able to find the hole in the defense that was created when the blitzing player left his post. That doesn't work on Manning. The Seahawks knew this, so they tried something else.
The Seahawks wanted to keep every play in front of them to prevent the Denver wide receivers from executing their blocking schemes to break off big gains after the catch—the Broncos' trademark.
To counteract these and the "pick" plays Denver runs, in which one receiver runs interference for another by running into a cornerback, the Seahawks had a clear plan.
When two Denver receivers lined up next to each other, Seattle cornerbacks such as Richard Sherman would begin to backpedal before the snap. This was to get away from the Bronco receivers. The Seahawks knew those receiver pairs likely would try to pick the cornerback—or to execute downfield blocking on a short pass, which could lead to even bigger gains.
Someone really studied the opponent's game films. All the more reason to praise the Seahawks for what they did rather than berate the Donkeys for what they didn't do.
To be fair none of this was a secret prior to the Superbowl. The Seahawks were the first team with the talent to be able to execute the plan. Other teams had the same ideas but w/o the great defensive talent at every position that the Seahawks have they couldn't execute and that's when Peyton could find weaknesses to exploit for gains, touchdowns & eventually wins. Like I said before, Seattle didn't do anything extraordinary they just did something ordinary extraordinarily well. Pretty much their game plan all season long.
The more time that passes from the game the more calm I am about the game. Seattle played some straight up quality football. Pretty impressive as much as I hate to say it. Old school, hit ya in the mouth, pigskin.
The plus side is we play the NFC west next year. Four regular season games against smash mouth defenses. Hopefully that helps prep us for post season games.
