One of the pioneers in this field was Harold Edgerton of MIT. MIT has a camera with a 1.7 trillionth of a second shutter speed to take pictures of light waves.

I liked that. It is amazing how much crap gets pushed out of the barrel before the bullet exits the muzzle. Thanks.
Very fascinating! I love those kinds of pictures!

One of the pioneers in this field was Harold Edgerton of MIT. MIT has a laser pulse with a 1.7 picosecond pulse to take pictures of light waves.
fixed it for you (no camera shutter, by itself, actuates that fast).

fixed it for you (no camera shutter, by itself, actuates that fast). Thanks. I was quoting the 8 year old's Guinness World Record's book.
This guy has a YouTube channel with assloads of interesting high-speed videos and oddball experiments, many are gun related. A lot of things seem kind of mundane, but become fascination at ultra low or high speeds.
Here's one example, check out his whole channel.
