Not so sure I would use federal primers in an AR, as to risk a slam fire fromt he soft cups. I would only go with the CCI nato spec version.

My Lee turret press says right in the owners manual NOT to use federal primers , as they could go off and set off a huge chain explosion.

4/21/09 I was there yesterday and all they had was Federal small pistol primers. At least they still had over 10,000 left if that's what you need.
