I think a number of guests are webcrawlers or indexing bots... but back in my web page-making days there was never that many on my forum/website at a time. It also depends on when the forum gets rid of stale connections reported as guests... blah blah blah.

We are averaging 100,000 unique visitors a month (based on a cookie and IP, if either match, it isn't counted as a unique user). So that number is pretty accurate. Stats are per hour, so we had that many visitors within the past hour. Figure a couple dozen bots.
