I have an 02 ford ranger and when I turn on my turn signal and complete my turn, it won't click back off unless I turn it off. Do I need to replace the whole turn signal part like this

or is there something else I should do? its not a big deal, just kinda annoying.
Yup that's it.
Multifunction switch.Common ailment, the clicky thing inside always breaks..
There is usually something that hits that switch when you turn the wheel back the other way. It might be called a cancellation switch but chances are that is what is broke.

Don't feel bad I have to replace the one in the GP as well. In my case the high beams like to stay on. Since I go to work in the dark I just stuff something in there to hold it back but this only works if I leave my turn signals alone. Catch 22, have the cop pull you over for high beams or no signal.[Flower]

You have a disc on the steering shaft that is for the horn and signal cancellation and the switch has "fingers" that engage it.
One of them has failed.
Switches usually run about $30.00 and the worst part of swapping them out is usually pulling the steering wheel and getting the lock plate off.
Unless it is tilt wheel, then you discover new words.
