I went and visited the GD at, um, that other site about Eugene Stoner's creation which totally pwns anything that Mikhail Kalashnikov ever did.

There were threads about getting into stupid situations in public places while armed.

So, I tried going out. I went to Einstein's Bagel Bakery, while wearing an S&W M&P9 in a Kaluban Cloak kydex pancake under my coat. Ordered a toasted everything bagel, smoked salmon schmear, and a cup of coffee. Ate my bagel, drank my coffee, did the sudoku in the paper, and left.

No police were called, nobody got into a fight with me or tried to take my gun or vandalize my car or chat with their 400# friend working the service counter while there were 43 of us in line.

ETA: A few months ago, I had my car at a shop owned by another member, and took the RTD home. All the way from Lone Tree to Westminster, two trains and then two different buses. And nobody arrested me for CCW on the RTD or tried to knockout-game me or anything like that.

I never get to have cool stories. What was I doing wrong?

1. Respectful of others.
2. Minded your own business
3. Did not open carry.

Did it all wrong.

For good stories should have

1. insulted 400#er, loudly.
2. Parked as if you were candidate for piss poor parker thread.
3. Keep your hand on the grip of your open carried S&W 629 8 5/8 in polished chrome with gold inlay on the frame and mother of pearl grips, at all times.

You obviously aren't holding eye contact with people around you long enough. Try making and holding eye contact with everyone you meet. This , then asking "What's your problem," will help you have a more exciting day and possibly lead to an arrest or other infringement on your rights.

Oh oh yeah and if you get stopped by a police officer in your car make sure to ask if your being detained.

Did you park your F-350 close enough to the shop so that patron could read your Molon Labe bumper sticker while you were tuning the diesel chip for "tree hugger lung busting" mode?

I have CC'd and OC'd legally in many business establishments, mostly up here in FC and the only time anyone commented was when I OC'd on a very warm day and a FC police officer in the self checkout line at King Soopers said, "nice .45 you have there, Springfield?" I said thanks, its a Colt, to which he replied, "Good choice". That was it in all the years I have been doing this.

If there is a police officer in your car, you probably have bigger problems then demanding to know if you are being detained... LOL

You missed your chance, in Denmark you could have shot and killed a baby giraffe! Butcher it in front of children! And then fed it to the lions! And yea the CNN logo reminds me of a bullet...

Isn't that what everybody does with "inbreds"?

That CNN article was a bit more slanted than the one I read yesterday. They had the age of the giraffe at 18 months and discussed the inbreeding and options explored much more clearly.

Either way, hey, a lion's got to eat too.
