Found this article interesting. NY passed laws against "scary" looking AR-15 rifles, well, manufacturers have changed their practices to make them legal! Boy won't that stick in their craws! (Of course, looking at that grip makes my hand hurt trying to figure out how people will hold it).

Keep thinking people!

Way to beat them at their own game!

Holding it shouldn't be much different than most rifles made over the last 200 years. Sure is ugly though. What about detachable magazines? Can they have those? Didn't see that mentioned.

I've got mixed feelings about these type of workarounds.

One the one hand I love them stickin' it to the man and gaming his crooked system.

On the other hand I believe that the creation of "CA complaint guns" has kept CA gun owners somewhat complacent and pacified and maybe prevented them from fighting the foolishness as hard as they could have. Thats why I hope Magpul and/or other companies don't ever make "CO Compliant 15 round AR magazines" because I don't want anyone on our side to stop fighting because they're fine with the 15 rounders and I don't want anyone on the other side saying "see its not that bad, you have the new 15 rounders".

I agree with the sentiment, but I think the big point is them showing how ridiculous it is. A closer analogy in my mind would be Magpul coming up with a 15-round magazine, but with an automatic magazine reloader device that inserts a new round each time one is fired. Technically legal, but clearly pointing out the stupidity of the law. Or something.

Want to tax our cuts of meat? Fine, the butcher will just come up with some new cuts to avoid the taxes.

I'm glad the people of NY figured out a way around this ridiculous law. That is the good part in dealing with those ignorant of our hobby/profession/you name it. We have the upper hand because we have the knowledge.

Their efforts cannot match the liberal mindset, money and voting record.

And I'll speed 25mph over the speed limit today on the way home from work. No one cares. Posting something on the internet does make it so although most on here seems to think it does.

OK.
There is debate on said item, yet one that seems to be leaning towards acceptance, once validated.

[yawn] I'll also sign the back of a check of my significant other to deposit in the bank, give a friend a 30rd magazine even though it was in my possession on July 1st, bring Cuban cigars into the country, ad infinitim...

I don't have the time nor energy to worry about stuff I post on the internet and how it may be construed by an attorney. If someone wants to use this page against me at some point in the future... have at it. Navigating through life always in fear is no way to live.

I was also the shooter on the grassy knoll ... yep, I shot John Kennedy and I used an Accuracy International rifle chambered in .338 Lapua Mag to do it.
(for the humorless here, the joke is that AI didn't exist until 1978, .338 Lapua 1989 and Zundfolge 1969)

Furthermore, how many of y'all here have Molon Labe bumper stickers or t-shirts, or who here has one of RMGO's "I Will Not Comply" shirts? Who here has a sticker or t-shirt or flag with the Gonzalez canon on it? Or the modernized version with an AR15?

... you're flatly telling the government you won't abide by their stupid gun control laws.

At some point we will have to violate stupid laws in order to fight them and in order to repeal them.
