View Full Version : Would it be worth it to have a running "good local prepper / grocery food deals" thread?

I don't always keep up with the local grocery store ads, but I was thinking it might not be a bad idea to track local sales on canned food, etc. Any thoughts?
I'm thinking of the semi-regular canned veggie sales, cheap prices on canned chili, tuna, bottled water, stuff like that... any interest?
Not sure if it makes sense to track prices on bulk/dehydrated/buckets of food here or not...?

I have a bunch of store-bought canned food that is nearing "expiration", and I thought I would try to be a bit more smart when it comes to replacing it during good sales.

Certainly not a bad idea. I'm not in the market for regular canned goods but I'm sure others are. I wouldn't mind anyone throwing up info if they find a solid deal on long term storables.

It couldn't hurt if you shop alot.

Often the local grocery store has a sale every year on items we use that is so cheap it doesn't make sense but ill buy a cart load.

Regular canned items are part of my preparedness supplies because those are what we eat normally. I think it is a good idea.

I think a while back there was some sale at Albertson's where the end result was getting 1lb packs of spaghetti noodles for 49 cents each or something like that... a heck of a deal, would be nice to have a spot where we could post it and let everyone else know.
