View Full Version : Tomorrow is my Big day.
Yeap, me and my wife are scheduled for our naturalization interview tomorrow.
We are currently green card holders so getting a citizenship is a Huge deal for us right now...
Have anyone went through this already? Any suggestions?

Never been through it but I imagine if you are honest and earnest, you should not have any issues.
Congratulations.
Congratulations, in advance. I'm sure you'll both do fine.
Well, I think if they had any concerns about me or my wife - they probably wouldn't even bother to schedule an interview. .. plus being a gun owner and a CCW holder I went through so many background checks..
I'm still kinda freakin out... that guy tomorrow is gonna be deciding our future life pretty much.
Good luck! You'll be fine!

Congratulations. We'd love to have ya! You'll do great.
Went through a green card interview with my wife. It was 40 minutes of waiting for a 10 minute interview. Was pretty painless except I got our anniversary wrong. (paid for that one later). The gal was quite nice during the process. Just be honest and it should be fine.

Congrats. Worse case scenario, IF things don't go well. Change your last name and don't worry.
Congratulations! You'll be fine...

Congratulations! I remember mine was a walk in the park. The officer was really nice and asked me a couple of basic question about the constitution and the geography of the US. The only think she did have a problem with was that my wife uses her maiden name.... When we were married in Canada, a wife could not take her husband name. We never changed it. it took the officer 10 min to process it, and I was good to go.
I remember how I felt that day... But it was nothing compared to the emotion of the naturalization ceremony...

Question #1 Who is the only socialist president we ever had or are having ??? quick!
When I did mine the interviewer only asked two questions then told me we are good to go. It was in and out.. And if you arent changing your name... You will be sworn in tomorrow afternoon.
If you're changing your name, its a week later.
Congrats!

Wow. Best of luck and Congrats in advance.
We need more immigrants like you, and less like….well, y'know. :)
Congratz!!! [Beer]
My wife went through hers back in 2006, she spent what felt like forever studying and was so scared she was going to mess it up but passed with flying colors.
I did find it quite nice that she had a lot to study, a book and a CD. Learn the entire governmental process Etc.
The only thing I was bummed about was the ceremony was not all that exciting, indoors and kind of boring, couldn't hear the speaker.
Good luck!!
Good luck! Hope it goes great. Thanks for taking part in the right way of doing things and being part of what makes America great.

That^^^^ is a "No Shit!" statement. I was thinking as I made my earlier post, you are probably more educated, and aware, of how the US Government works (or at least is supposed to), not to mention US History, than the majority of the "entitled" population. Rest Easy Dr_Fwd. [rockon][Beer] [rockon]

Congrats!
Hearing about you and the others that have been naturalized reminds me how blessed I am to have been born in the US. I think it's something that we all should be reminded of from time to time.
Late to the party, but congrats!
I suspect you're both citizens by now and it's about damn time.

Hey, congrats buddy
I never had a doubt. [Alrigh]
My wife is a naturalized citizen. She appreciates those that go through the legal process, like she did. When the politicians talk about giving citizenship away to those that didn't follow the law, that's one pissed off lady. [rules]
Welcome Citizen. My father always reminds us how happy he was when he got his.
