Valentines Day for men in my household was when my wife told me at 8:00 PM last night that my kid needed 28 valentines and a container to put them in by 7:00 AM this morning. Since sending my kid to preschool with peanut butter sandwich breath is akin to an act of bio terrorism, I had to separate out four bags of candy to remove anything with nuts. To speed things up, I taped candy over the 'To' field so that my kid could just dump a valentine into Johnny Random's box, instead of figuring out which one of the six other Aidens belonged to which card. Finally, screw double-sided Scotch Tape. I used extra-strength adhesive carpet tape to put those candies on the cards. The dying sun will expand to encompass the Earth before one of those wrappers unglues from the card.

A 98¢ paint bucket from Lowes, a Brother P-Touch labeller, and some stickers from the invitation box, and we have a custom Valentines pail as well. Suck on that, Martha Stewart.

Actually that's March 14th.

You are correct and it's marked on the calendar. Last year my daughter asked why I got a Valentines Day in March, I told her ask your mom.

Unrelated (sort of) but have you been to the one in Fort Collins? It's actually quite good and we frequent that establishment regularly.

Funny you mention that because my wife and I have a tradition of buying each other an ice cream cake from DQ on VD. We always try to come up with something creative to have the employee put on it. Needless to say the looks we get as we spell it out are worth the price paid.
