View Full Version : Dems & Firefighters
I know the firefighter unions sent thousands and thousands of dollars to support the dems gun grab last year, along with even more $$$$ to prevent the recalls. Now it seems the dems are paying them back promoting some legislation that gives them all sorts of new equipment.
Is my thinking off here or is this just a big coincidence?

What? The Dems in a Quid pro Quo?
The hell you say.....
It pisses me off that Firefighters allow this shit to happen. They need to stick to fighting fires and keep their heads out of the politics.

How's about you just step off before you go lumping us all in the same boat on this issue. Guaranteed we're not...
Well I was a volunteer firefighter for 4 years until 2011 and now I'm a full time LEO... I think my experience in matter allows me to have an opinion.
I never lumped EVERY firefighter together....
Unions... [Roll1]
Remember, it's not the opinion of everyone, just the [union] leadership. Remember when Obama talked gun control in front of all those DPD officers? I'm pretty sure more than half didn't want to be there, but were ordered by their bosses, and the idea was probably supported by the union.

Yep. The rank and file of just about every union are going to contain the entire political spectrum. The leadership? Pretty much their compass only points one way.

Yeah and you certainly didn't specify it either...
Kind'a like someone saying "cops should stick to looking for BG's and keep their heads out of what some in the IAFF are doing"
Volly or not, you're still entitled to have an opinion. I'm just not sure how only 4 yrs as a volunteer FF gives you any insight into the workings of the IAFF.
Either way, thanks for doing a job that I have no desire to and be safe.

The IAFF is associated with the AFL-CIO. Pretty much all I need to know about the politics of that particular union.
The state has also had some large fires recently so exactly what kind of equipment are they getting?
