First of all, where can we buy powder locally here in the front range? I got intoreloading around Christmas and put together a lot of equipment. Have a Lee Load Master for my pistols. Mainone is my 9mm (have a .357 and wife has a .380). I also got a Lee ClassicTurret for my 223’s and other rifle’s that we have. My plan is to keep my starting loads on thelower end. I think this will help me tobetter understand start grains andpressure ect. since I'm mostly shooting at paper anyway. So any tips on types of powder and where to buy, types of bullets, and types of primers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

I am new as well and buy powder anywhere I can find it. A few lbs of different powder so I can find out what combo I like best.

I've been told to never experiment with a load that has not been verified. A lot of misinformation on the net!

I was at bass pro Denver today and they has H335 and IMR4064.

Thanks Kwando. I'm stopping by Cabalas tomorrow. Will stop by Bass Pro. Is that the store off of I 70 and Quebec?

You can order on-line from Bass Pro. Have it shipped to store to avoid the hasmat and shipping fee's. You prepay, but its yours. No worries about someone beating you to it :)

Got to watch on line and hit the local places. Powder Valley is a good source, as is Natchez, Mid-South Shooting Supply, etc.

Online ordering of powder with delivery to your home is really something for people who are willing to buy a lot of powder in one order - otherwise the hazmat fees make it uneconomical.

Sportsmans usually has Berry's plated bullets on the shelf lately. Sometimes primers. (last time I was there anyway)
Dad's reloading had xtreme plated bullets at the gunshow, he should have them in the shop. Prices were about $60 per 500 at the show.

Unique and W231 are good powders to start with and cover your calibers listed. No sure where to buy at the moment.

Xtreme bullets are running $52-55 delivered. per 500 from xtreme. Minus the parking hassle @ tanner, entry fee, buying direct is a better option.

I introduced a reloading-newbie friend to xtreme bullets today. He searched the internet for hours today and found great buys on bullets. He bragged about them to me, then I showed him xtreme bullets and compared prices. Saved him on average $5-$8 per 500 for all calibers. He texted me after I left his house and said he ordered just over 3k bullets from them.

What I love the most about them, is the free shipping. You can buy 500 bullets each month or 2k bullets all at once and its the same price.

eta: 115gr 9mm is $42.22 right now for 500.

Wow, Thanks for all the input!!! I still can't shoot cause of my shoulder operation but that doesn't mean I can't learn reloading!! At least I can drive now so I'm going to run around town and see what I find. One thing I do know, the West has the Best people in the World! :)

I would also recommend a couple of reloading manulas to look the loads up. Most manuals also have reloading how to's.
