I love Bowers but driving an hour south to get some new gear is less than ideal.

So are they any shops up here?

I'm looking for a new pack and would like to try it before I buy it. TriggerTime (Longmont) has some stuff but I'm looking for other options.

Thanks gents!

eta: JAX is ok but mostly low end and surplus

Jensens has a whole other side with gear if I recall. It's been over a year since I've been there.

Jensen still has the clothing & gear side.

Just in there today, and they had gear but no clothing (outside of the standard Jensen t's). A bit disappointed since they used to have a great selection of BDU's. I was looking for some new pants for work, oh well.

What kind of pack?

Mid to high end 1 day/"Assualt" size. 5.11, ATS, Tactical Tailor, Camelback, HSGI, etc.

I might end up at Kifaru to try on some of theirs...

Mostly hunting packs, which isn't out of the question.

JAX in Loveland or FTC has some decent stuff as well.

Jax has a little modern camo like a tacs and troppentarn etc also I've seen modern aftermarket "tactical" gear seems they carry some stuff as they seem to try catering to the airsoft crowd but their selection is limited try finding a store that does just that.... Cater to the airsoft crowd.

Side note jax has been getting more modern russian stuff I just picked up some new russian flora camo pants for my collection there

I might end up at Kifaru to try on some of theirs... You read my mind. Check out the Kifaru forum for used packs for sale, if you decide to go that way. I have a Timberline 2 which worked great for last year's elk hunts, but it's a bit bigger than you'd likely need at 5200 cu in.

I picked up 5.11 Rush 12 when LA Police Gear had a Christmas sale. Very happy with it.

I was in Neve's Uniforms yesterday and they have a large selection of 5.11 packs in stock, and all 5.11 packs are on sale for 20% off until March 1st.

I 2nd the Surplus store . Two separate buildings there. Check both out. Probably in the one Irving mentioned...the "TOO" store, not the main store.
Also one in Old Town Arvada.
..and there's a JAX on the Northeast (probably in this one) and Southeast corners (two building across the street from each other) of 287 and S Boulder Road (Louisville/Lafayette I think)

Northeast is surplus/hunting/etc. Southeast is farm/ranch.

JAX is ok for camo, gear is all surplus or low end (condor, fox, voodoo, etc.)

Also I've tried to avoid JAX since they pulled AR's from their shelves (right after sandy hook) and refused to sell anything 10+ rounds before the bans were even in the works.

I'll have to check out the Surplus store off Pecos/36. I like the Arvada (old wads) one.

Ended up going with a Kifaru Zippy, perfect size, pricey but well made.

This is exactly the reason for saying what I said in post #15 you simply stated it more eloquently. Haha

Nothing like a voluntary ban on our 2A before any laws are even in place to show how much they support our rights in this nation. I'm sure if actual laws were produced they'd fight for us. lol

I'll spend my money with businesses run by real people with backbone who stand for what is right and not cower to anything that could potentially be considered.

You might give Kensco a try, they are off of hwy 119 and county Rd 3 1/2. I haven't been there for quite some time but last time I was there they had a lot of higher end tactical gear.
