Is LWRC sold to Colt for $60M? If that's true then LWRC quality might be going to go away and the price to the originals are going to go up.

So is it safe to say you assume Colt does not make a quality product? That's odd.....

If they are that good how did they lost so much mil-contract? I think Colt make good guns, but their ability to innovate is lacking, and that's what LWRC has.

They looked like internet rumors, I was hoping someone here with connection in the industry would know for real.

FN out bid them, who ever can make them to spec the cheapest gets the contract.

Innovation and quality are two different things, just saying. I am not a Colt fanboy by any means (owned a 6920 at one point), but to make a statement that LWRC will decline in quality because Colt bought them is not likely accurate. Now if some of the other manufactures purchased them, you may have a valid argument. Just my opinion.

keep facts off the web, please.
I've seen many other manufacturers of black rifles run just as good or better than Colt and for less cost. They are a "staple" name in the firearms industry and you can be certain to pay a markup because of the name. It is what it is. That being said, I truly don't foresee quality declining in LWRC rifles because they were bought out by Colt. Although, rare as it may be...I've been wrong before. Only time will tell or when the first person to buy a Colt made LWRC rifle makes a solid review.
It's the military. All of your equipment was made by the lowest bidder.

Yeah, I'm not seeing the problem. I'm assuming that Colt bought them for their innovations which is a good thing.
