Steam users I could use some help

Just downloaded doom2 and ultimate doom. I can get to the title screen but cannot start the game. No menu will come up. Ive tried messing with the DOS settings to no avail. I really want to play this game, I paid like 5 bucks not alot but wated If I cant get it to work. I'm runnig crap ass windows 8.

They are known to sell games that are so old they wont run. Check the steam forum for the game (right click on the game in the launcher and select forums)

Quick check for doom2 shows a couple posts with he same general issue as you.
