I was in the UK a few years back. Took a weekend trip to London. I carried a Emerson CQC-7 with me everywhere.

Walking through Kensington (Olympia) station and the person I'm with gets a pack of crips from the vendor. Wont open. So I flip out my knife, open the bag, and put it away. I notice everything stops around me. We both look at each other and make a break for the doors right quick. We get outside and down the street, look back and notice people pointing in our general location to a couple of bobbies. We duck into a shop and wait it out.

Very strange place.

Similar experience at Wally World a couple weeks ago - returned an item that had obviously been opened and used, missing parts, etc. Carried the replacement back to Customer Service and told the woman I'd like to check it, two trips was plenty. Pulled out my CRKT Ignitor T to cut the tape and she literally leaped backwards and everyone around stopped to stare like I'd pulled out a live snake or something. Very odd.

Where is the logic that you could EVER fully disarm a populous. That cat and mouse game is going on everyday in prisons around the world and the cat ALWAYS loses. It is like a Tom and Jerry cartoon, they never learn from. The bad guys even make weapons from paper mâché. Did they not see a lemmings problem when their WAR HERO's are hacked up in broad daylight on video and the old lady getting groceries walks past the bloody assailants like "whelp, another day in England"?

It is more than ironic the culture that gave us Winston Churchill, Horatio Nelson, the Charge of the Light Brigade, and "Keep Calm and Carry On", the people that carved (rightly or wrongly) an empire on which the sun never set, have been reduced to "Get a Life, Bin that Knife". Sad.

They want to ban kitchen knives as well. Soon brits will only be allowed to eat with a spork since forks are deadly stabbing devices as well.
