Basic Freedom Defense Fund Donations

Quick question, I donated money to the BFDF during the recalls and am doing my tax returns right now, i have read that they are a non-profit organization, so it is tax deductible, but have also read that the IRS declared they were not a Non-profit organization.

Anybody know for sure?

Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(4) provides for the exemption of two very different types of organizations with their own distinct qualification requirements. So in short only if they were a 501(c)(3) then it would be tax deductible?

Donations to BFDF are not tax deductible as it was a 501c4. To participate in the process of the recalls the way we did we could not have filed as a 501c3.

Know that all of the donations and time some of you spent knocking on doors made well more than Colorado history …..

And I could never truly thank you enough. Although we have not met I am proud to have stood with such Patriots.
