View Full Version : Speaking of gold and silver investing.....
Have any of you investing-type fellers ever heard of Thompson Creek Metals Company? I stumbled across their corporate headquarters in Littleton today, their website shows them as a molybdenum, copper, gold and silver mining company. Their stock price looks attractive, just wondering if anyone knows anything about them and if they may be worth investing a couple bucks in? http://www.thompsoncreekmetals.com/s/Home.asp

Negative EPS for the last few quarters.. they were at $19 at IPO few years ago and haven't done any better since then.

Recently rated as a "buy", I believe. Currently under $4, so I can't help but wonder if this might be a good time to step in. I have some other stocks I could liquidate a little of and move some funds into this. Must dig further.....

I can dig that, but I've made more money in silver miner stocks than by just holding physical silver.

More power to ya. Never a stocks and bonds, player. Probably stems from when I was offered a stock buy at $4 a share, providing I purchased 100 of them. Being recently back in the workplace, I passed. 1 year later those stocks split. The name of the co. H-D [facepalm]
Well with no information or insight into the company, and only moderate insight into the PM's market: considering they're currently on an up trend from their lowest value ever, and the fact it's only a few bucks a share, it's not a terrible bet... If you have a few hundred bucks to "gamble" with, I say go for it.
