View Full Version : Odd Package Path
Does this seem more odd than normal for a package routing from Lenexa, KS, United States 02/22/20141:42 A.M., to Colorado in UPS?

If it was not 22LR ammo, I guess I would not worry, but 12 days (projected) for something that normally takes 2 seems odd to me.

Not at all. A package i was expecting on XX never arrived. The UPS CSR said the delay was due to bad weather in Atlanta. Oh really, how does that impair delivery in CO when the package says it is sitting in Greeley . Where btw the temp since last thrusday has been 45* + and dry. UMMMMM she says, let me get back to you on that[facepalm]
5-10 min later she calls back, says the driver delivered it to the wrong address. Great, at least it's not due to weather as you first implied. So where is it? Not sure at this time

When I lived in GA, had the same thing happen.
Shipped some handguards to someone that was about 3 hours away. When he called a week later I pulled up tracking and it had been swirling around Atlanta the entire time. I think it was scanned at 6-7 different locations, north, south, east and west of town. It even looked as if it was headed out to him once, then it got sucked back into Atlanta.
He he eventually got it, about 2weeks after I shipped it.
I think their automated tracking/routing system gets glitches sometimes. That's why I always get tracking, covers me when the post office screws up.

Best if you try not to understand. I had a package from MidwayUSA arrive in commerce city, then went back to kansas city and back to denver. then it was delivered by the postal service instead of UPS.
When Midway ships their cheapest way, the tracking is all screwed up. I guess it leaves their facility via UPS and then gets transferred somewhere to the USPS for final delivery.
I have a thread here somewhere about the same thing.
Just ignore the tracking info. I had a package sitting on my front porch that the tracking info said was still at a facility in Arizona somewhere.

Well at least you are still able to track it! Our FedEX driver here supposedly left it at an address that doesnt exist. True, it was my fault for shipping it to the wrong address but it should never have said "Delivered" when no such number existed in this little town. Somehow it ended up at the post office then back on a FedEx truck which I was able to intercept at work.

Isn't there another "package" thread here some were?
EDIT: Yep, sure as shit: https://www.ar-15.co/threads/124075-USPS?highlight=usps
Each state has to get their cut...This way they can justify the cost to ship a $1 item for $50....
Funny. This is the second shipping time thread in a little bit. I just had a UPS package shipped from Oregon. Took 8 days. Tracking said it left Bend, went to Portland sat their for a few days. was supposed to be delivered end of day Thursday. Tracking was lying. Showed up VERY late friday. Sucks, stuff used to surprise me by getting here fast. In the last year or so things have gotten slooooow. The postal partnerships are even worse.
