This community has been such a blessing for my family and I. I wanted to take a minute and just THANK each and every one of you for banding together to help a community member in need. Our dog Roxi needed a $1200 surgery to remove a blockage in her stomach. Without that surgery we were having to consider letting her go to either another family, or letting her go from this world. Both were inconceivable to us, and we put together a fund raiser. We had the money raised in full within 2 days, plus a bit extra which came in handy for her medications.
I cannot put into words properly how deeply I appreciate your generosity. I look forward to returning the favor to another member in need when my family's situation improves.
I will update the "My heart is heavy" thread with pictures of the ball from Roxi's stomach. Yes, you read that right. A Ball. In its entirety.
Thats fantastic Lex. I'm glad to hear the good news. I agree that this community is an incredible one, full of great and generous folks. I'm proud to be an even insignificant part of it.
This is first and for most a community, we need to take care of each other as such. I'm very glad the pup is going to be ok and may your family be blessed with her for many years to come!

Thread updated with photos of the ball she swallowed, and a post-surgery picture. I tried to get a picture of her staples, but couldn't get her in a great position.

Glad to hear she is doing wonderful. We found out that we had to get our pup emergency surgery as well right after you started the other thread. I wanted to reach out to others on here because of the awesomeness that this community is but I couldn't do it. I felt that asking everybody again would be to much. I sold a few toys and we had Lily's surgery yesterday and we get to pick her up today. Much love to everybody on this forum for helping a fellow member in need.
