just stopped in for a few hours. lots of stuff, hardly any parking. i was surprised at the useful products they had this time, lots and lots of ar parts, various mags for all weapons, optics, etc. last time i went they had more of the weird, crazy, awesome, never seen before things, but i couldn't find much reasonably affordable and useful parts. this time was different. also, prices weren't awful. saw a couple 1000 round bins of 223 for $450, which isn't fantastic, but isn't bad. had a TON of pmags, both earth and black, $20 each and i believe they were windowed. these guys had like three boxes full of them. some had some really cheap ammo boxes, the clear plastic ones, saw them for .45 for $1 for a 50 round box, and 223 for $2. anyways, just filling anyone in who was wondering

saw the same stuff you mentioned above and lots of stuff out of any reasonable price range for a lowly working guy like myself. "Primmers" were an amazing $65-80. WOW what a deal! More strange vendors peddling random crap that even flee markets wouldn't touch. Good jerky as usual. Good deals on classy bolt guns I thought. Lots of Ruger #1 at good deals if you go for that sort of thing.

I hope it's a good sign...

there was certianly some way overpriced stuff, always is, always will be. thats the right private vendors have. of course, i saw people on MANY occasions scoff at the prices of magazines and various other things to to the vendors and i think, personally, people are getting less willing as a whole to pay such crazy prices. the last one i was at a few months ago had way more overpriced stuff i thought.

also, there were some decent prices on some m1's and carbines i thought. you had to look around some, but still

Forgot to mention that I was "that guy" today. You know the guy who wears camo head to to at a gun show in the city. Yep that was me today. Mossy Oak Brush head to toe. Went coyote hunting and got a wild hair to go the show afterward. If you saw "that guy" it was me. Even though I was rednecking I felt better dressed than some.[Recon]

I might go to get some 9mm self defense ammo, and maybe replenish some of my .223 stocks after today :)

Most of the .223 ammo was wolf that I saw. And the average was $500 per 1000.

Just my .02.... I wouldn't fire that shit through my AR if they paid me for the ammo. It would have to be an end of the world scenario to shoot that crap.

Just got back, waited til mid-morning before going, let the crowds die down. Decent, wasn't crowded at all, prices seem to have stabalized. Still no primers, but reasonable prices on most anything else. kc.

What you didn't see the deal on primers going on for $75/1000! they are down from $80 so you save $5.[Kick1]

I saw that, too...the guy that sells the t-shirts, right?

I DID pick up a Voodoo Tactical 2-rifle case, some 9mm Hydrashocks and a pack of Tannerite, though[Beer]

Anybody see what kind of prices they had on .45?

I hate to say it, but everytime I go to Tanner, there is less and less I am looking for. When I do find something I might buy, I can't because it is cheaper to get it on the net now. I'm sure you can find deals, but when it comes to AR merchendise, I can't find anything that is a deal to me. There are some good people that deal there, then there are some @*$holes that are there to hit you off.

The only difference being that at the gun shows what AR parts are available are in stock...bolts, firing pins, handguards, etc...you see em, they are there...not like a dozen pages of parts on websites and they are all listed as Unavailable when you click on em...

Most definately. But for me since i'm left-handed, I can never find an extra bolt or bolt carrier. I think I will have to just get it from Stag. Bummer but what can you do.

honestly you have to factor in shipping and wait time though. shipping at a place like midwayusa and such isn't very high, but some places it is. so if you find a bolt carrier that is $10 more at a gun show it actually might be about the same as getting it online. that being said, its 8 bucks to get in, so there goes your shipping difference right there haha. but really, it just depends on what you are getting, how much, etc. also, the higher cost on primers sucks, but when you factor shipping and hazmat fees, its not as outlandish as it looks. still overpriced, sure, but you gotta account for these things

Well I pretty much have to use the net because no one carries lefty bolts and bolt carriers, atleast no one at the show. I know I have to account for all that other stuff, but I have to.
