"I saw this posted up on ‘the Reloading Room’ on FB today ...

this is the results of firing 300blk through a 5.56 barrel; that's a projectile stretched in the center section; the shooter was unharmed, the magazine blew out of the gun, and gun was damaged."

Wow had that not been a heavy barrel I think the shooter would've been severely injured...

Actually, it does not matter what barrel. The design of the AR15 makes it VERY hard to rupture a barrel. The blow-out type cases like described in this one typically occur with subs, like a blown Glock. With a supersonic, blown out receiver, bolt and carrier. This has happened more than a dozen times that I know of.
