Anyone seen this before, and know anything about it? Its about half the weight of my PRS, and about half the cost (found it just shy of $130 after a bit of searching). I was about to pull the trigger on another PRS in the near future, but I might have to give one of these a shot unless I hear bad things about it.

Interesting find J. If you pick one up, let us know what you think. I love the PRS, but hate the weight.

Found this snooping around...

On Monday, December 14, 2009, DPMS/Panther Arms said goodbye to its President and Founder, Randy Luth. Luth sold his company to Freedom Group and his employment contract had expired. Industry insiders were sorry to see the straight-talking Luth go, but all agreed that entrepreneurs and corporations seldom peacefully coexist after their initial purchase agreements.

It says Luth, so it's safe to believe Randy Luth is back in the AR business. Luth AR, LLC web photo.
Now, Randy Luth is, quietly, back in business with Luth AR, LLC (www.luth-ar.com). The company is currently manufacturing modular buttstock assemblies, ranging in price from the $49.95 Skeleton to the $139.95 "MBA" Modular Buttstock Assembly.

In reading about the company, it would seem he's not been sitting quietly since leaving DPMS. According to the "About" section, "Luth looks forward to introducing more innovated and exciting products to the AR Industry." The site invites everyone to "stay tuned."

Think I'm going to try one out, will post my results when I get to install it and make SEVERAL range trips with it.

Like Maddog, I love the PRS, but hate the weight... and the cost. $250 for a stock is steep when you want a couple. Hopefully this fills that gap in both arenas.

I've seen them and even payed with one. Not yet convinced it will be long term durable. Had more flex to it than I would have assumed.

I like the look. I think I might try one. How much 'flex' we talken here?

How was the fit and finish of it Mark?

Just a direct comparison of fit, finish and stability, the MagPul wins. I am not sure, was not interested enough to ask, but I think it is blow molded. The post for the cheek rest was not directly under my cheekbone, so it was wobbly. Was it a 1/32nd of an inch or a 1/4...don't know, but it bugged me. So too did the buttstock flex when I pressed it into my shoulder.

Not willing to pan it, but when I saw it, and the price, my eyes widened, then when I picked it up and played with it some...not on my want list.
