239 unaccounted for. In one of the most corrupt areas on Earth. We may yet hear from some of them again.

In one of the most corrupt areas on Earth.

Best I can figure from news reports, it wasn't flying over DC.

I've lived a number of years of my life where this plane was flying, their corruption doesn't hold the tiniest candle to that of the U.S. -we've just perfected it.

BP & others, I respect ya; but imagine if one of your kin was one of the X Americans on that flight?

That's what the family of those people feel.

We didn't go "who gives a fk" when Lockerbie went down, did we?

Truth be told, I don't have a clue what those are.\

-I (thankfully) did not have any relatives on that flight.
-I frequently have relatives on flights in that part of the world (monthly, if not weekly).
-I'm not affected, personally, in the slightest, if a non-relative crashes and burns (not my dogs or wife = not my problem: believe me, that is more gospel than any of you can imagine).
-However...., this has upended countless families and I can respect the turmoil that it must cause them.

If that's fodder for humor, laugh on, but I don't particularly find it funny. I guess I'm inadequately youthful in that manner.

Gallows humor MD. It don't mean a thing.

You said, "...you lose some." I knew you weren't really making a joke about losing the plane.
