No, it is definitely bullshit.

I'm not saying he isn't a fuck, but how does a geeky-looking community college student really get on the terror suspect radar? My inclination is that there plenty of half-witted people saying bad things about the government on the internet with bad ideas. Why did this kid pop up?

Also doesn't,"...in contact with a mentor, who was actually an undercover federal agent. That undercover mentor gave Teaussant the green light to travel to Syria," imply that he was coached and possibly even enabled by a government agency to commit a crime. Isn't that entrapment? Again, not saying he isn't a fuckhead, but nobody else thinks that's strange?

CBS2/KCAL9 also spoke with the suspect’s grandmother, Virginia Teausant, by phone the same day. She said he “did join something, a Muslim or something, a religion, and we were really surprised by that and not happy about it.”
There you go, ignorant and with their head in the sand, "ignorance is bliss" and "see no evil" attitude.
It should every American civil duty to know at least something, anything about religions otherthan their own, so they coul recognize signs of extremism.
