I have a question and I hope someone can help me with. I have a Stag Arms model 2. Just been shooting a lot more lately and I've noticed that my rear site is way over to the left. I believe the front site is canted and I want this fixed. I've been surfing around and found that BP Tactical and TJ's gunsmithing up in Denver work on AR's. I found that BP tactical actually has canted site listed under services page so I'm leaning towards them but I was wondering if anybody's ever had any work done on their personal AR, was the work good, and that they meet their estimated completion date?
Thanks

+1 Bert will take care of you
Gotta agree you can't go wrong having BP Tactical work on your gun
I pretty much avoid badmouthing any company on the interwebs, but will respond if asked in person. In the same vein, I have been bitten by having good work performed and then recommending someone use said service and the next work project was not good, so I tend to be a bit reserved on gunsmith recommendations as well. IMNSHO, you have two choices: I will loan you may Fat Max and you can fix it yourself, or take it to Bert at BPTactical.
I have some good tools, and a mill and even access to a lathe and some other high tech stuff, but when I had a project that had to be done right, I took it to Bert. I had seen a lot of his work in person prior, but hanging out in his shop shooting the breeze before I left, I knew I made the right choice. When I got the project back, that was confirmed. Attention to detail, insistence on doing the job right are important when the tool has mini-grenades in the OS. I have two more projects set aside that I need to spec out, and when they are ready, they are going to Bert no matter how long I have to wait.
For simple things I think he has been running up to a few weeks turn-around, but hey, we can't just clone the man.
I have a good friend that swears by TJ's. However, I only know that with the exception of one small fix on an AR, all the work has been bolt gun accurizing, trigger work, etc. I stopped in once for some advice on an issue and he gave me sound and honest advice instead of taking in the gun and charging me to fix something that was easily resolved by sending the item back to the mfr.
I, like many others here, have used Bert on several occasions for both bolt gun and AR work and would recommend his expert services without hesitation. If I needed any pistol work I would also reach out to Bert.

I'd recommend BPT without hesitation........he put my A2 upper together from pieces and it was most definitely doing it's part first time out. I haven't had any experience with TJ's to have an opinion on his work though.

Well I dropped off my rifle at BP today. Had it back after a couple of hours. I believe my front sight was canted. Robert explained every thing he did. He said I should me good to go. I'm heading out tomorrow morning to the range to check it out.
