Anyone have an opinion on the p226 tacops? I like the 20 round capacity but does that justify the $1000 price tag.

Was cooler when 20 round mags were readily accessible for it. Kinda a depressant now.

Yea 100 dollar Mags are not cool. I don't like that Sig is only giving one mag per gun right now. That is ridiculous

The Tacops should come with four mags. At least in other states. The M11-A1 I picked up recently came with three mags. The one magazine guns are probably their "entry level" pieces.

Love it. Love it, love it. Even if it was only 15 round mags I'd still love it. The weight, balance, feel is awesome. Shoots like a dream, just like all my Sigs.

On the subject of the expensive mags, I run Mec-gar mags in my 226. With the +2 extentions you can get 20 rounds in a more compact and reliable package. Of course local laws apply.

Agreed. I have a few of the "Sig" 20 round mags and a box full of the Mecgar 20 round mags. I like the Mecgar's quite a bit more.

Its a sweet weapon ... Ditto on the balance, egos, feel, SRT trigger is very nice. Couple partners at work carry them, and swear by it.

I've never heard anything good about the Sig (Checkmate) 20 round mags. The mecgar mags are flawless. The SIG p226 is amazing as well. I've got the combat and wouldn't trade it for the world.

My checkmate mags functioned perfectly. But the MecGar ones do seem to be a bit nicer. They also functioned perfectly.

I carried my 226 a few times as my Daily carry. Good belt and a hoodie that day.
