View Full Version : Any details on Boulder IPSC on 5th Sunday of the month?
Does anyone know the time of shooters meeting, side match, etc? I've never shot this match, and was thinking of going there on Sunday.

The Boulder USPSA match has moved back to the second Sunday of the month. The fifth Sat/Sun of the month is now back to being a rifle steel match.
There is a center fire stage on the 200 yard berm and a rimfire stage on the 50 yard berm. There are semi-auto and bolt divisions for each. Both stages are 5 strings of 5 targets, so 25 rounds. Each string has its own shooting position. If you are shooting a bolt action, it is Virginia count, one shot at each piece of steel. Semi-auto is comstock.
The smallest target on the center fire stage is usually 2 moa. Smallest target on the rimfire is around an inch. On the center fire stage, one target is usually a full sized IPSC. You can choose to shoot this target offhand and if hit, you get a bonus to your time. Misses are 30 secs added to your string time if I remember correctly.
The match is pretty informal, show up around 8:30 and you should be good.
Thank you Moose. I checked the club's site, and it says that the steel rifle match is on second Sunday. I see that your post says "Sat/Sun". Do you know if the match is this weekend, and if so, which day?
Well, I'll have to tell Steve to update the website. Here is a better site that shows the schedule for most of the USPSA, IDPA, 3-Gun, Steel Challenge, and other assorted rifle matches in the state.

As you can see from this site, this Sunday's match is the rifle match. If there is a 5th Sat., but not a 5th Sun, then the match is on Sat (May 31st.).
Thanks again, Moose, that's very nice of you! I'll be there on Sunday! Unless it is very windy.
