I spoke with a friend from Germany recently and she acknowledges that a lot of us didn't vote for him, don't like him, and frankly think he's a massive tool (her words), so yes, he is completely full of shit, but don't let him tarnish our good name as Americans. Guy at work started clapping three times in a row during a meeting today and no one else did. After a while he said, "Screw you guys!" and didn't clap for the rest of the meeting. It was pretty funny.
