Wrong forum I know, but I never go to 1919a4.com anymore and I was hoping to find someone in state..

I have had this for many years. The internals were done by Brian Penley (30calmachinegunner) - who at the time was probably the best 1919a4 gunsmith on the planet. Now that Brian is no longer practicing his trade, I am looking for someone to do a little work on this. Nothing fancy, but they *have* to understand how a 1919 works (e.g. what is a denial island, how does a booster work, what the right tool is to get the trigger pack out, etc..). I want the headspace re-verified and I am thinking of cleaning it up (bead blast, remove old park) and doing a full deep black parkerizing on it. Maybe put some spade grips on it to look cool. ;) It sits above my mantel for everyone to see - so I am wanting it to look nice. Would want to do the M2 tripod as well (harder due to all the painting and numeral etching on it).

Bert - is this something you are familiar with? Anyone know of anyone qualified?

Mechanically and operationally, I've built a half dozen of them and tune and fire them pretty regularly. I don't do refinishing, but can help you out with operational and maintenance issues.

There's your mechanical answer Asmo, I have played with a couple but nothing serious.
I can handle the parkerizing however.
