I am new to the AR competition world. I would like to do a few, travel and time permitted. I have a 6920, dd rail, and a few other add ons. My next purchase is a good scope. I was thinking veriable power. My thoughts are
Leupold mark 4 MRT 1.5x5 ( 1 chioce so far )
Burris XTR 1x4
Trijicon TR24 1x4
They would have a Larue QD mount. Anybody have opinions on these or other like scope that would be helpful?
Thank you
George
You dont need the Mark 4 part of the 1.5-5. It is not worth the cost over the VX-III.
If I was to ditch my Short Dots, I would go back to the 1.5-5 in a heartbeat.
Good call on the LaRue mount.
Get a good trigger first...

As far as I can see the only difference is the bullet drop compensator. Do I need one for the shots close to denver? Which is the best redical? I am a step ahead. I am looking into a decent trigger. What do you sugggest. I cannot afford a jewel.
Thank you

I put JP's in my AR's.
For a single stage trigger they are easy to adjust and tune.
For optics I am a loyal Leupold customer. When I was in the Army one of our M24 sniper rifles came loose on our jump into Panama. It burned it 400+ feet, when it was recovered the H&S stock was cracked (still usable) and the MK4 held it zero! Also, when I was over in the Gulf (DS/DS) Leupold sent our squad 3 new spotting scopes for free, we were still using old Vietnam era scope. I still have mine today.
When you do decide on a scope check my dealer forum for a Cat Tail.

What redical would be best? Sorry I have a lot of three gun questions. Is there a better place to post them up?
