Hello Radio Afficianados!
I frequently monitor the GMRS (http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/general-mobile-radio-service-gmrs) frequencies among others. Can only monitor on the car rig because of the requirements for GMRS, but I do carry a handheld around that I can use.
I frequently hear some folks on channel 16. My question is, does anyone know these folks, and if so is this a radio club, or just some guys talking that want privacy? They talk about interesting stuff from time to time and wouldn't mind chatting, since I do have my GMRS license. I looked at a website that had some repeaters listed in colorado, and I could not find a match to be able to program a freq and ask permission to use the repeater to chat with them.
