Ok guys and gals, looking for good date night ideas. I want a hotel with all kinds of stuff to do nearby, or in the hotel. The hotel MUST be at least four star, jaccuzi/hot tub IN room. And allow smoking, a deck is fine for smoking. Looking take my lady out for A night of romance. Ive googled and binged and just can't find waht we are after, the closest thing I found was the mon cahlet in the ghetto, that shit is skeevy and not happening.

I have been to the Mon Chalet with a couple of chicks...at the same time. [Coffee]
Did not pay much attention to the room though, sorry! (not really)
You're more than likely not going to find smoking allowed in rooms of a nice hotel...

Both the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and The Broadmoor in a Colorado Springs are fantastic:

Pretty awesome deal^^. I've stayed at CMR a dozen times, including having my wedding reception there... I have nothing negative to say about them.

I've walked around the Broadmoor a lot and I've had their famous brunch twice - clearly one of the best hotels in Colorado.

Ameristar in Black Hawk
Broadmoor is nice, but despite how nice the room I got there with the GF in Feb was, there was no hot tub in the room. That might be a bit harder to come by. No nice hotel will allow smoking in the room, that much is pretty much guaranteed, but you probably can get lucky with a balcony (some of the rooms at the Broadmoor have balconies).

Quality Hotels are ranked by diamonds. 5 stars means nothing if only one person left a review. The diamond system is done my AAA. Any quality hotel will have this on their website. I think there are only 3, 5 diamond hotels in Colorado. The broadmore, the little nil. And something else.

J W Marriott in cherry creek? lots to do, up scale
I think the diamond rating is exclusive to AAA. Something they started to stand out.

Check the cabin/hotels in Estes Park. We have stayed at a couple that were nice and had hot tubs. Non smoking though, just step out on to patio/deck.
Lobbed from my electronic ball and chain.

+1 for Estes Park. Mary's lake lodge in Estes Park is where the wife and I got married. The mini cabins/condos all had hot tubs on the deck and awesome views! Dinner at the Lodge was really good.

That one is far, far more disgusting to me than the smoking.

where ever there are elk, have at it ;) Just don't shoot any local Icon's, the locals get pissy.

Yes this... everything in the tub gets sucked into the plumbing of the jacuzzi, and festers. It is definately not cost effective to get into all the jets and intakes, and hoses to get it clean for the next people. And there isn't enough chlorine in tap water to do an effective sanitization.

Whenever we get a room with a Jacuzzi we bring a bottle of bleach, fill it up and let it run for an hour while we go out.

We used to do golf gatherings in Estes. Went up there last year to check on reservations and all the motel/hotels wanted a minimum of three-night stays! Even if you only wanted one night they charge you for three! BS!! ... never again.

Whenever we get a room with a Jacuzzi, I let that $#!t sit unused the whole vacation long. $0.02 For what it is worth, there is more I'm worried about with those than just the (let's call them) "leftover DNA deposits."
Might check out The Inverness in Centennial. They used to throw down an awesome seafood buffet on Friday nights, don't know if they still do. Can't speak of the hotel, never stayed there, but it sure impressed us as being way out of our league.
In Estes Park we always stay at Rockmount Cottages. Nice cabins, but no jacuzzis. Might be too early too, probably still cold as hell up there. We always go over Labor Day.

That's because they just don't like golfers. :p

spot on. i don't know if 4-star and in-room jacuzzi can co-exist
I'd suggest either the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs or the Table Mountain Inn in Golden.
The Antlers is right downtown in the Springs, has been renovated recently, and has some nice amenities.
Table Mountain Inn is right downtown Golden and is not your typical cookie-cutter.
Neither one has a Jacuzzi in-suite, but they're still nice.
If you're up for a bit of travel try the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs.

Didn't think of that....gross. Was looking at the broadmore, seems cool. May wait a few weeks so garden of the gods will be nicer to walk around, or maybe find a bed and breakfast up by hanging lake. Just as long as we can step RIGHT out side for a smoke!
There is nothing fancy about Hotel Colorado in Glenwood though.

Lol. Yep. Last time we stayed there it was middle of summer and pretty hot. We got to the room and the wife asked me to turn the air conditioning on because she was hot. I just giggled.

I think every room at Cheyenne Mountain Resort has a balcony (with a nice view of the mountains) that you can smoke on. It's just down the road from the Broadmoor and is usually a bit cheaper.

True...but Glenwood is a fun vacation spot.

If you are willing to smoke just outside of the room check out the molly gibson lodge in Aspen. I took the lady there about a year ago and the room was great with a hot tub sized bath in the room and only a 30 second walk to smoking, in addition it was about a five minute walk to Aspen brewing and the rest of downtown Aspen. I know it is a long drive and Aspen gets a bad rap but it was an amazing trip for both of us and Aspen has some great restaurants that are more reasonable cost wise than you may think.
