I was gonna go to Nebraska for fall turkey with my wife who hasn't got a bird yet and my son for his first turkey hunt but if we stay here where is a good place to hopefully bag a few birds? I know where a lot of them are around Greeley but it's all private land with no good hunting access. I will probably do the handgun to have some fun.

Never realized handguns and rifles were legal in Colorado. I had to look up the specs. Fall Only, No SPRING and not in Units 91,92,96 and 951.

38 grain bullet with 100ft/lbs at 100 yards.
Looks like even a 22 mag will be legal, but not 22lr.

It sounds like fun. I usually go to central/west Kansas (Hutchinson/Sterling area) where the numbers are so plentiful that they get hit by cars on the road.

I have some land that backs up to BLM down in Fremont county. I am going to go down there to turkey hunt. If its around the same time as you, you are welcome to join.

I have hunted them with shotguns and bows but the 44 just sounds like a kick in the ass! Especially for fall ambush hunting. The ol boys in Nebraska use 17's. My wife and son will probably use scatter guns unless I can get them some trigger time on a pistola.

I will be getting a super black hawk this week, I can't wait haha.

Now back to the white Russians!
