Put together a new build and finally got it on paper and it is shooting way to the left. I had to adjust the rear sight almost completely to the right.

I noticed the nsr rail was just a smidgen off. Meaning it was to the right just tad. I fixed that but it didn't seem to be enough to make it as far off as it was. I have reinstalled the rear sight as well just in case. I will try to get out again tomorrow.

Anything else it could be?

Perhaps the receiver needs to be lapped?

Specs for the build

Tory front and rear sights
Noveske NSR
Daniel defense 10.3 barrel
Aero precision upper receiver
DD bolt and carrier

Those of us that have rifles that the barrel has to be timed have a mantra. Shoots to the left, need more heft. Shoots to the right, it's too tight. Now the AR is a slightly different animal but think about where your rounds are going and what I just said. [Flower]

Meaning it was to the right just tad. I fixed that Might not have been enough. BTW, it only takes a few degrees to make a big change on POI.

It's an AR not AK, or FAL.

My money is on the NSR being off a smidgen.

Well I torque the barrel down. Probably too much but had to get it lined up. The torque before was barely 30lbs. It took nothing to get the nut off. Will report back after a range trip.

And thanks for the hammer tip. It help get that extra little turn to line everything up.

Well went and shot again after tighten very thing and still way left. Either barrel or receiver is out of spec. Perhaps I need to lap the receiver. Maybe Bert can chime in.

Rail mounted sights , the barrel and the rail are not running on the same plane , I'd look at the rail first .

If the rail is not running perfectly square and level with the top of the receiver , very few do , the sights will be off . It only takes thousandths of an inch to change the sight geometry.
