Just a reminder that there is a Johnson 3gun event this weekend, down at Whittington. I know it's a bit of a haul, but this is the most comprehensive 3 gun event in the front range. This weekend, they are doing an RO cliinic on Sat and a match on Sun. The Johnson match will test your skills in open terrain and berms, at point blank and distance. They only put on a few matches each year, so if you're looking for a top notch 3gun experience, you want to check out this match.

If anyone would like to carpool, several of us are meeting at the park n ride at I25 and Nevada (under the freeway) at 6:00am on Sun morning 4/13. PM me so I know to expect you.

If you have never shot this match before, plan on shooting 100rd rifle, 100rd pistol, 50-75 bird (I always bring twice that just in case). Also bring 10 slugs and 10 buck (just in case) and a rifle sling. Bring enough food and water to be ourdoors all day without a Sonic's. If you'd like to shoot it and are apprehensive because you suck... shoot it. I'm pretty sure I came in dead last at my first Johnson match. Everyone starts some where and this is a fun match.

The Johnson's put on an excellent match yesterday and the weather was excellent too. 4 national level open terrain stages, rifle out to 400, one of JJ's anything goes shotgun stages, lots of hiking through the woods and... Sunny and 60deg for most of the day. If you stayed home cuz of the weather, you missed an outstanding match.
