Remembering the Brave 5/2/14 - 5/4/14

A good cause, good people and a good range all come together. Friday is a 80 shot XTC highpower match, Saturday is a 600 prone match and Sunday is 600 and 1000. Please check the program for more details, match is at CRC.

Very friendly to new comers, ask question about equipment here or via pm. You will shoot with some of the best area shooters and also some who have never shot a match before. Last year I shot with the father of a fallen soldier who was shooting his first match, a very touching experience.

Shooting coats that look like 30 year old "hand me downs" and rack grade rifles (I like it.). Hoser your guess is as good as mind I do not know how many teams they have out of the Stumps.

Just got a chance to look at yesterdays (Friday's) scores. Two things are evident.

1. Esaabye can shoot.
2. USMC88-93 can not shoot.

The only thing I had going for me in terms of where I placed was the fact there were fewer competitors this year (last year I was on the second page of most match results). Three hours sleep the night before the match, the lack of shooting coat, pain in the knees when in the seated position, brand new rifle, my offhand sucks, and lets see what else I can come up with to explain it. But I had a good time put another face to a name from here and intend to hit more of the 600 yard matches to improve.

This was one of the best experiences I've had... and I'm talking about all around experience in this whole day event.

I plan on shooting this one every year from this point.. Great times for sure!

This match is always one of the highlights of my year.

Seeing Cindy Dietz shoot her 338 Lapua is just too cool for words. One of the most solid women I know.

Congrats to everyone that shot the match. Conditions at 1,000 were tricky. If you were not on your toes you could easily shoot an 8 or a 7. And thats not good.

Ran into several members of the board there. It is always nice to put a face to a name.
