I just got the call today that three of my Form 1 stamps from last June came in.

Thanks, for the most part building is already done. Just need to do the stuff the stamps held up. 2 more going in today or tomorrow. Was gonna eFile but that looks like it will take awhile.
I should have 4 coming back this week! I'm excited

I asked and it looks like all those from June... July are coming in. They said they are seeing a pretty big increase in stamps coming in. It looks like those 15 new guys are up to speed. ATF reports they are up 10-15% in production rate and expect even that to improve. The eFile system is back and supposedly not crashing anymore. On the other side they are only taking form 6's right now with form 1's coming next. Maybe things are turning around... For now:)

Running 7-8 months for paper filing. Down 3 months from the 11 it was taking.

Did you Efile? I filed paper in Sept. I cant remember when it went pending but I hope it gets here soon

I had a Form 4 from mailed 9/11/13 approved 4/16/14.

Beater SBR. Everything is used/leftover parts other than the upper, which was a $400 complete 12" from PSA.

Two more stamps in the mail today. Still waiting on 6 others. O' the joy. I don't wanna be caught up by 41P. Thinking about 1 more.

That gives me hope. Mine was still pending as of a week ago but I might get it back sooner than expected

You never know. I got a F1 back last week that got sent in September and went pending 10-31. The F4 that got sent in the same day went pending 2 weeks earlier but has not been approved as of yet.
Just got the call that my Form 4 for my suppressor was received and can go pick it up (AWESOME - Christmas in April!) So the stats on this paper submission were:
FORM 4 Submitted = 09/20/13
FORM 4 Check Cashed = 09/27/13
FORM 4 Pending = 11/2013
FORM 4 Approval = Received 04/24/2013
Three days shy of 7 months. Actually given the state of the NFA branch today - that is awesome! Now I just need to get the call on my Form 1 so I can put the stock on my 300BLK SBR!

A 3-4 month time difference for submittable (3-13) resulted in a 4 month difference time wise.

That would pretty pretty impressive to see the wait drop from ~15 months for paper submission to 7-8 months. I know my last E-filed form 4 took ~5 months and a form 1 just before that took 101 days.
Never had a Form 1 submitted before- do I just receive the paperwork back in the mail or will I get a call when that is approved?
The Form is mailed to you. It's sent in an envelope with a window that shows the "3b Applicant's Name and Mailing Address" showing..

Great! Finger crossed I have a carbine CQB training class coming up and really want to have the SBR available.
Just to clarify: if you sent it in you get the stamp but if the shop/FFL did it you get a call when they recieve and process it.

Understand. I submitted my Form 4 for the suppressor through The Firing Line and it came back approved last week - WHOOHOOO! I submitted the Form 1 to create an SBR myself so I would assume I would be waiting for a reply via mail then.
Had a form 4 (not efile) go pending in Oct and was told July. Just found out it was approved 4/10 so the wait is definitely getting better.
And stiiiiiiill waiting. My paper form 1 and form 4 were submitted within a week of each other and I received my form 4 back approved over a month ago (definitely not complaining about that). Would have hoped my SBR form would be back by now but I guess it is not to be. Submitted last September and the wait continues....
You aren't going to bother the person doing your paper work to just check the status. The person answering the phone just looks it up on the computer and can tell you where it's at. You'll need the serial number to check it. I called on a SBR that I was waiting patiently for and found out it had been approved and mailed 3 months before. It apparently was lost in the mail. I had to get a official copy. It's kinda a downer to have an approved Form without a stamp for that SBR.
