I have a dirt and sand backyard here in Colorado Springs with minimal grass and weeds.
I have asked people at work for *recommendations*, but all they suggest is Angieslist or the Yellow Pages.

I would like to get the yard graded away from the house and away from the shed and then take off another 4".

Then, I would like to get 2" or 3" of topsoil, till it in, and install a grass lawn [no sprinkler system].
This could be the same person/company/contractor as the grading.

Area is about 53' by 29' (1500SF). I haven't gotten elevations yet, so I can't calculate how many CY.

Does anybody have any recommendations of contractors working in Colorado Springs?

Thanks,
CobaltSkink

Try contacting "Landscapes West" in the Springs area. He's been a customer of mine for many years. I can get ya the phone number tomorrow if you can't Google it. His name is Rex.

I had 3000 squard feet in my backyard laid out for grass. I planted Legacy buffalo grass from High Country gardens. Took me a couple of weekends to plant around 4000 plugs but I got it done and they filled in over the summer.

I only water it twice per week and do not have to mow it but once per month if that.

Just a thought on your grass.

Thank you. I need to get my front yard done and that's exactly the low maintenance I'm after.
