My first rifle upgrade project.

I have a Remington 700 SPS in .308. I’m preparing to drop it into a KRG X-Ray chassis. I figured since it would be out of the stock I’d take the opportunity to drop in a Timney 510 trigger. I’m going to do all the work myself, but I want to ask for any tips and tricks anyone can offer me to aid in placing the action into the chassis and installing the trigger. I can’t wait to take this rifle to a new level the chassis arrived today and the trigger arrives tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys.

Well I installed the trigger and then installed my .308 into the chassis. I had to file a little bit to get safety not to rub chassis, but other than that it went smooth. Check it out.440874408944091

If I didn't just buy a Timney Trigger as well and get one in the box too, I would have asked you where the Tootsie Roll Pop was supposed to be installed [LOL]

Thanks guys, it was the first time I'd ever pulled a rifle apart and the trigger feels awesome, wish i had dropped a Timney in sooner. The scope is a Luepold Mark 4. I'm not waiting on a can, well at least not anymore it took 11 months but I have a SAS Reaper that goes on the muzzle break. I went a little crazy upgrading my little Remington .308. Now I just need to work on my shooting.

That's a real solid setup you got there. I'm a big SAS fan. I went with the arbiter in the TOMB setup and will probably be putting in for a SAS sentinel soon too.

I went with the Reaper because I use this gun for hunting and was trying to not let it get to long. I can't wait to take it pig hunting next year.
